ABOUT:
At Futuremedian, health education that is accessible is important to us. However, we aren't solely limited to educate others through direct instructional videos. Recently, we have expanded our education efforts to include storytelling. Through true story animations, viewers can find comfort through relatability and/or simply learn the how's/what's/when's/and why's associated with a health complication.
Futuremedian Storyboard is a program that transforms life-changing health stories into impact through short animations. To initiate the engine, we need writers like you. No matter how big or small. No matter how common or rare. How did your health disorder/disease transform your life?
You share your story. We create it.
By participating in this program, Futuremedian Storyboard Writers will:
-
Demonstrate their ability to handle rigorous tasks involving creative writing.
-
Sympathize and educate a wide audience on a health disorder/disease.
-
Support a verified nonprofit organization of their choice.
-
Increase chances of gaining upcoming scholarships from the Futuremedian Scholarship Fund, which raises revenue to ease the costly education future health professionals have to endure.
-
Gain credit for their contribution.
RULES:
1. Be Authentic. Your story must be from your own experience. Stories from other people and fictional accounts are not allowed.
2. No Private Information. Do not include addresses, medical records, school names or other personal information into your story.
3. No Inappropriate Content. No AI-generated, explicit, or stolen content.
4. When writing your story, keep this structure in mind.
-
The Start. What happened?
-
The Journey. How were you affected emotionally and/or physically? If you went to the doctor, what process did you go through?
-
The End. What was the treatment? What lesson did you learn? How did things change?
5. Keep it Short! Max 600 words.
Please note: We may tweak your story for engagement purposes or to remove private information. If so, tweaking will be at a minimum to retain authenticity.
